Doing the Polka
Had a blast in April shooting poster imagery for 3 different shows for Polka Theatre‘s autumn season, with a lovely concept from designer Rebecca Pitt of young actors interacting with illustrations from the stories, to echo the theatre’s renowned interactive emphasis.
This concept gave a diverse set of shows a unified feel, and I thought this finished set were rather lovely. Banyan is my favourite for the colours, but the Winter Woods actor would melt the heart of even an iron-clad misanthrope.
As you’ll see from the brochure shots, we not only made the cover and three shows in the season, but also shot a set of stock imagery for the theatre that was used as well. This gave the Polka team marketing assets for future publications too.
Top marks to those young actors for their posing elan, though to tell the truth, there may have been wrangling involving Kinder Eggs to tease out performances…
